TrassaHub is a community app that connects truck drivers and trucking-related businesses: a load board, marketplace, services directory, general chat, weigh-station information, and a Careers section for jobs and for people who are open to work. This policy explains what information we collect, how it is used and shared, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
- Account information: your phone number (used to create your account and log in), a password, your name, and optionally your email address, company name, MC number, and home state.
- Content you post: listings, loads, service listings, comments, votes, photos, and the city, state, ZIP code, or address you attach to a post.
- Careers — job postings: employer name, job details, pay, dates, location, a photo, and the contact details you choose to add (email, phone, website, street address).
- Careers — Open to Work profiles: your first name and optional last name, professional title, summary, introduction, experience, work history, education, skills, profile photo, city, state, ZIP code, and the contact details you choose to add (email, phone, LinkedIn link, street address). Please do not put sensitive identifiers — such as a Social Security number, driver's license number, or bank details — in your profile.
- Saved items, reports, and blocks: jobs and profiles you save, content you report, and users you block. Saved items are private to you.
- Messages to support: anything you send us through the Help section or by email.
Information collected automatically
- Device location (only while you use the app): if you grant permission and tap "use my location" or open a map or weigh-station view, the app reads your device's location to sort and show nearby results. This is used on your device for that search and is not saved to your account.
- Location text you type: ZIP codes, cities, and addresses you search or post with are sent to a mapping lookup service (OpenStreetMap Nominatim) to turn them into coordinates. We store an approximate point with each post so distance search works.
- Push notification token: if you allow notifications, we store a device token so we can send alerts about your posts and boards you follow.
- Usage counts: a simple view count on posts, and your votes.
TrassaHub does not show ads, does not use advertising or third-party analytics SDKs, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
How we use it
We use your information to operate TrassaHub: to create and secure your account and send one-time verification codes; to show your posts, jobs, and profile to other users as described below; to power search by keyword, ZIP code, and distance; to send notifications you've asked for; to process payments for paid features; to keep the community safe (reviewing reports, blocking abusive users, preventing fraud); and to respond to support requests.
Who can see what
- Most posts (loads, listings, services, chat, and job postings) can be viewed by anyone, including people who are not logged in. Your name and company, and your profile photo if you added one, may appear with your posts.
- Contact details you attach to a job posting or Open to Work profile (email, phone, website or LinkedIn, street address) are visible only to logged-in TrassaHub users.
- Open to Work profiles — including your name, work history, education, skills, and photo — are visible only to logged-in TrassaHub users. Anyone with an account, including employers, recruiters, and other individuals, can view them and contact you, so share only what you are comfortable with.
- Saved items and your blocked-users list are visible only to you. Reports are visible to TrassaHub administrators.
Anything you post can be copied, screenshotted, or saved by other users. We cannot control what other users do with information you make available to them.
Service providers we share data with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share data only with the providers that run the app, and only as needed to provide it:
- Supabase — database, authentication, file (photo) storage, and server functions.
- Twilio — sends SMS verification codes to your phone number.
- Expo / Apple / Google push services — deliver push notifications to your device.
- Google Maps and Apple Maps — display maps in the app.
- OpenStreetMap Nominatim — converts the ZIP codes, cities, and addresses you enter into coordinates.
- Stripe — processes fees for paid listing features (such as business-for-sale listings) on Stripe's own checkout page. We never see or store your card number; we receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and which post it was for.
- RevenueCat, Apple, and Google — manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat receives your TrassaHub user ID and your subscription status; Apple and Google process the payment.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the safety or rights of users or the public, or in connection with a business transfer.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is active. Job postings and Open to Work profiles that are not renewed stop appearing in search after a period of time but remain in your account, where you can renew or delete them. When you delete your account, your profile, posts, comments, photos, profile and job details, and saved items are permanently removed. Payment records held by Stripe, Apple, or Google, and routine backup copies that are overwritten on a regular cycle, may persist for a limited time.
Your choices and rights
- Edit or delete content: you can edit or delete your posts, job postings, and Open to Work profile at any time from the app (My Posts, or directly on the post).
- Delete your account: open the app, go to Profile, and tap Delete Account. You can also request deletion by email — see how to delete your account.
- Permissions: you can turn off location, photo, and notification access in your device settings at any time; the app still works for most features.
- Block and report: you can report content and block users from the "•••" menu or the Flag button.
- Access or correction requests: if you live in a state or country that gives you rights over your personal data (for example, California), you can ask us what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it by contacting us below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Security
We use encrypted connections and access controls, including database rules that keep contact details and Open to Work profiles limited to logged-in users. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
TrassaHub is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
